A custom WordPress website and content-management platform for a nursing school, built with a bespoke theme and core plugin for managing academic information, faculty, events, gallery and institutional content.
Assisi ANM Nursing School is a custom WordPress website developed to provide the institution with a professional online presence while making frequently changing school information manageable through WordPress Admin.
The website presents courses, admissions, faculty, facilities and resources, events and news, gallery content, testimonials and contact information through a consistent responsive interface.
The school needed more than a collection of static pages. Content such as faculty members, events, news, gallery items and testimonials needed to be updated by the school team without editing theme files or rebuilding page layouts.
The challenge was to keep the public website simple and professional while creating a structured backend that could support ongoing institutional content management.
I developed a custom WordPress theme for the frontend and a companion core plugin for dynamic school content. Structured content types were created for areas such as Faculty, Gallery, Testimonials and Events & News, allowing administrators to maintain content directly through WordPress.
Reusable theme components connect this content to the relevant frontend sections, reducing duplicated code and making future updates easier. The project was developed locally with Git version control and subsequently migrated to shared cPanel hosting for production.
The result is a responsive and maintainable nursing-school website that combines a purpose-built frontend with a practical WordPress administration experience. The school can manage important institutional content without depending on developers for routine updates, while the underlying theme and plugin architecture remains extensible for future modules.
